About me

I have been a freelance photographer for over 13 years. I received my bachelor of fine arts in photography from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I first picked up a camera in high school and fell in love with this creative tool. Working in a darkroom, watching my photographs suddenly appearing on the paper in the development tray was an awesome experience. (Now, of course, the images appear on my computer screen, but the feeling is still the same.)

I spent eight years working in the advertising industry honing my expertise in the areas of graphic design, art direction and photography. This experience taught me how to incorporate commerciality into my art form. As an art director of a creative team, I worked on countless commercial photoshoots, planning and staging studio set-ups, coordinating with some of Chicago’s premiere commercial photographers and, of course, shooting photos myself. My commercial photography work was for a wide variety of advertising uses that are crucial to any business—print advertisements, web banners, website galleries, point of purchase posters and banners, mailers and much more.

I have seen my business grow into more than I had even dreamed it would be. My list of clients is expanding all the time and it would not be possible without the kind words from my clients. I hope you will give me the opportunity to be your photographer.
